Christchurch Race Information
EVENT DAY TIMETABLE
12.00pm - 1.00pm – Late registration & Late Collection.
1.15pm – Fancy Dress Parade – Show off your Creations!
1.45pm – Smiths City MST briefing in assembly area.
1.53pm – Warm-up.
2.00pm - Start of the Smiths City Mud, Sweat & Tears Challenge!!
Race pack / Merchandise collection is on Friday, 12 August 2022 from 12.00 pm until 5:30pm at Smiths City - The Colombo. This is 363 Colombo St. Everyone must register and collect their race pack which includes your race number. Team leaders are to collect all team members race packs.
Best Dressed This year prizes will be awarded to the best fancy dressed teams and individuals, this is your chance to be creative. You will need to attend the Prize Giving to claim your prizes.
Event Clothing We suggest that all competitors wear a merino or polyprop long sleeve top. Suitable running shoes must be worn and should be taped on to prevent loss in the mud. No racing spikes or rugby boots. Remember it could be cold and will be wet and muddy, therefore you will need to bring with you a towel, dry set of clothes, warm hat, jumper and dry shoes to change into after your shower.
Event Services There will be warm showers and wash down areas for all competitors to use as well as ample changing areas, toilets and bag storage areas (at your own risk). Thanks to the great people at Synlait and Laser Plumbing East for providing these.
Food & Drinks Will be available on the day, along with some free product from partners.
Teams Format The teams event is a 6km or 11km loop. Each competitor runs the whole distance and all four team members must cross the line together to record a final team time.
Location Christchurch Adventure Park, Christchurch. There will be plenty of parking which will be clearly sign posted and marshalled on the day. We do recommend you look to carpool.

CHRISTCHURCH EVENT 14 AUGUST 2022
High School Mud Run. Guys, Girls & Mixed Teams only. 5km options. Ages 13-18
Entry Fee: $120.00 per entry (when school discount applied)
Individuals Guys or Girls 11km and 6km options. Minimum age 18
Standard Entry Fee: $70.00 per entry (reduced to $55 if entered before Thursday 30 June)
Student: $55 per entry (ID required) - 6k event only (reduced to $40 if entered before Thursday 30 June)
Corporate Entries of 10 or more people save $5pp
Teams Guys, Girls or Mixed 11 km and 6 km options. Minimum age 18 years old.
Teams consist of 4 members. Mixed teams must be made up of 2 guys and 2 girls. (Please note all team members must cross the line together)
Entry Fee: NZ$280.00 (reduced to $220 if entered before Thursday 30 June)
Bulk corporate entry forms and discounts are available for groups of 10 or more.

Corporate Tent Sites
We provide a 3m x 3m tent site for corporate groups to entertain their competitors and supporters before during and after the race. Corporates provide their own tent/gazebo, chairs, bbq etc. Book this when you enter your team online.
Volunteers are vital to the success of the Smiths City Mud Sweat & Tears Challenge – the event simply would not be what it is without you! Your involvement helps to make the event safe and your energy creates the fun & friendly atmosphere that Mud Sweat & Tears is known for.
Whatever role you play on the day, you are at the heart of all the excitement and it will be an experience you won’t forget!

$20 entry for next year’s event

You will also be provided with a lot of laughs throughout the day as you watch participants tackle the obstacles and mud filled course. There is never a shortage of entertainment!
